For those of you that are out of the gaming loop, GDC happened this week. Satoru Iwata (The president of Nintendo) spoke today.
He started off talking about how the Wii and DS were dominating the global videogame market and mentioned that the new DSi is the most pre-ordered gaming console in history.
He then went to to talk about more storage on the Wii through SD cards. You will now be able to download WiiShop Channel games directly to your SD card and play games from it without installing them on your Wii every time.
He then brought out some other dude to talk about the DSi. He talked about different ways to communicate with other people with DSi's and then showed off WarioWare:Snapped! The new WarioWare game for the DSi.
Also, Iwata announced Virtual Console Arcade. Not sure what exactly that is but I'll do some research and get back to you on that...
The final video of the presentation was a trailer for.................................... THE NEW ZELDA GAME!!
Tentatively called 'The Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks', it's on the DS and is kind of like Phantom Hourglass but with a train instead of a boat. Boo-yah.
I'll post again later, hopefully with more info.
*crosses fingers for a Zelda Wii announcement at E3*
