Ok so I can't work on SFTD today because I need to hook up the old hard drive again that has all my work for SFTD on it. So I decided I would test the performance of Blend's physics engine using Dream Realm's first person shooter script.
I need you guys to test it because my computer (I am NOT in ANY way trying to brag) outperforms most home computers.
This is bad because if you were to make a game that had super detail in it, and you had a good computer that ran it pretty well. Then when you would give out your game to other people with computers that aren't as near as good as your's, then you got a problem. No one would be able to play your game because they don't have good enough computers/the game is too detailed.
Well heres what you guys have been waiting for;
screenies:Wireframe Picture
Solid Picture
Download:HIGH Zip-ed n' ready 2 go
Mac -
Win - PhysTest_HIGH.zip
MEDIUM Zip-ed n' ready 2 go
Mac -
Win - PhysTest_LOW.zip
Sorry Mac people, I don't have “access” to a mac right now. But I might tomorrow ^_^ Also, I only created a “high detail” version and a “medium detail” version atm. You need to un-zip them first...
If you are going to test, then post here with like two sentences of how the performance was and what OS and how much RAM and processor speed. I might make a post here on how to do this if you don't know how to find the RAM, CPU speed, etc.
You guys are awesome
, B1n (aka Caleb)
PS: I'm using “B1n” because its short 4 BinaryGhost ^_^ looong post uh? LOL!
